Learning and Laughing
In September 2008, della Q brought two fabulous instructors to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to
work with the women of Vietnam Quilts. Sue Spargo and Wendy Morris kindly donated their
time to teach appliqué skills to seventeen women. After the women each picked a pattern
and fabric they spent the next two days observing, learning and laughing with Sue and
Wendy. At the end of the two days, each quilter shared her work along with comments on her
color selection as well as appliqué technique.
Before the class finished, the group began planning the next class for 2009!
